In October 2023 we outfitted 8 striped bass with satellite pop-up tags manufactured by Wildlife Computers Inc. Acoustic tag data is limited to areas where receiver arrays are deployed. This  can often leave large time gaps between detections and result in misleading conclusions about the actual migration tracks. Our goal was to gather high resolution tracking data for full early-Fall to late-Summer migration paths. Tags were attached in mid-October and programmed to release from the fish in late August of 2024. Six of our eight fish returned to Woods Hole. As of the beginning of September we are analyzing the satellite track data.
